Beatrice C. Caron
AUBURN – On Monday, Dec. 29, 2025, Beatrice C. Caron found her eternal peace. She passed peacefully at Clover Health Care Center in Auburn with her two beloved children, Irene and Marcel, by her side.
Beatrice, born in Lewiston on June 7, 1931, was the daughter of Amanda and Napoleon Cloutier, originally from Quebec, Canada.
She was one of four siblings educated in the Holy Family Catholic School system. She enjoyed working at the family Cloutier Market growing up.
She married Gerard R. Caron, a Korean War Veteran, on Sept. 25, 1954 at Holy Family Church, where she was a dedicated parishioner. In addition to weekly masses, she participated with the Ladies of Saint Anne where she was committed to supporting the church and serving the community.
A devoted wife and mother, Beatrice always put her family first, while simultaneously committing to her steadfast work as a master seamstress for Bates Mill in Lewiston until the age of 67.
Beatrice’s retirement years were spent with family and friends, playing Beano, traveling to ‘Les cabana a sucres’ and to Florida. She served often as a bus aide for Hudson Bus Lines. At the age of 70, she enrolled in adult education classes where she learned math and computer skills.
Beatrice, affectionately known as “Bea”, was a source of kindness, compassion, and ‘joie de vivre’. She loved to laugh and take photographs. She truly knew how to savor every moment with those she cared most about.
Beatrice was predeceased by her husband, Gerard R. Caron; their infant son, Michael; her sister, Yvette, and her two brothers, Bertrand and Normand.
Beatrice leaves behind her two children, Irene O’Donnell and Marcel Caron, their spouses, Bruce O’Donnell and Karen Caron; her beloved granddaughter Alanna and grandson Scott; and three great-granddaughters, Maeve, Maura and Allison.
Appreciation is extended to the staff at Clover Health Care Center for more than five years of quality care. Special thanks to Janel and the memory care team for their compassion and dedication. Additional gratitude is offered to Margaret and the Andwell Hospice staff for their compassionate end-of-life care provided to Bea and family.
