DEAR SUN SPOTS: On Wednesday, Dec. 31, while at the grocery store, I unknowingly dropped some items from my pocketbook as I got out of my car.
When I went to leave, I had a note on the car windshield. It said, “The store manager has your phone, gift card, and calendar.”
I just have to say, “Thank you for your kindness and honesty!” In this crazy world I want to share my experience and will look to bring joy and faith to someone else because of you. — No name, no town
ANSWER: What a beautiful letter to start out the new year! I’m sure you’re very grateful. Your letter proves that there are caring people in our corner of the world who are willing to go out of their way to help others.
This letter reminds me of the time years ago when I dropped my Tracfone in the Hannaford parking lot on a cold, slushy winter’s night. A CNA getting off her shift found it and brought it to her son since she didn’t know how to open it. He figured it out, found my home phone number in it, and she called me to let me know she had it. I didn’t even realize it was missing! This woman then offered to meet me near my house. It’s an act of kindness I’ll never forget and once again I’m reminded that angels are everywhere watching over us.
DEAR SUN SPOTS: I’m looking for a supply of old newspapers. Having worked in a circulation department for many years, I now find it hard to get leftover newspapers. — No name, Minot
ANSWER: We’ll put your request out into Sun Spots Land and see if any readers in Minot or near by would be willing to save their papers for you then you could go retrieve them. I’m wondering if you want to use them for packing or for starting fires in your woodstove, or something else …

DEAR SUN SPOTS: You are always so helpful. I watch “The Steve Wilkos Show” on Channel 4 on weekdays. I enjoy the show because he has interesting guests who talk about tough topics. The last time I looked for the show (Dec. 19), it wasn’t on. Does it come on at another day and time now, or is it off the air for good? — No name, Lewiston
ANSWER: I went to the Steve Wilkos website (https://stevewilkos.com/where-to-watch/) and see that you can watch the show on FOX23 (WPFO TV) at 1 p.m. on weekdays.
The show also airs on Spectrum 12 and Comcast 437, and you can watch it on these streaming services: Peacock, Philo, FuboTV, Pluto TV, The Roku Channel, Tubi and Xumo Play.
I couldn’t find the show on Channel 4 but readers, if you know something I don’t, please fill me in!
