 Coach: Dave Wing (first year)

Last year’s record: 3-6, lost in Eastern Class B quarterfinals

Returning letter winners: Seniors — Brett Turcotte (QB/DB), Ben Foss (WR/DB), Dillon Tibbetts (WB/DB), Kyle Emmons (TE/DE), Josh Prue (FB/LB); Junior — Josh Allen (RB/DB).

Key losses: Josh Sirois (WR), Drew Jannelle (FB/LB), Kamar Banton (FB/DT), Clyde Tibbetts (HB), Matt Averill (WB/S), Adam Hathorne (RB/LB), Tyler Wells (WR/CB), Tim Blais (WR/DB), Caleb Fournier (G/DE), Corey Stubbs (G/DE), Tyler Michaud (T/DT), Ben Rines (WR/DB).

Promising newcomers: Seniors — Keith Saunders (T/DT), Dylan Snape (G/DE); Juniors — Nick Cody (C/LB), Chris Eaton (FB/DE), Cam Morin (QB/DB).

Outlook: Wing, who once led Skowhegan to a state title, takes over a new-look team that lost much of its starting lineup on both sides of the line of scrimmage to graduation. Turcotte gives the Raiders a good athlete at quarterback, and Foss and Emmons give him two quality targets. The development of two all-new lines will be crucial. Saunders’ return after sitting out his junior year should help. Oak Hill goes from being one of the smallest schools in Eastern B to one of the largest in Western C and should contend for a spot in the eight-team playoffs.

Coach’s comment:

“We’ve got an experienced quarterback and some pretty good skill people. But I think to win in Maine high school football, you still need to run the ball.” — Dave Wing
