Muriel C. Rivard
LEWISTON – Muriel C. Rivard of Auburn passed away at St. Mary’s Hospital on Saturday, Jan. 11, 2026. She was born Feb. 13, 1936, to Armand M. Charest and Florida Champagne Charest. She worked for 38 years at Marcotte Home / d’Youville Pavillion as a CNA/Med Tech. Muriel enjoyed being with family first and foremost. She loved watching her children and grandchildren’s sporting events. She always looked forward to weekly lunches with her children and monthly lunches with her siblings. Muriel spent much time playing games like Greedy with her family and weekly card games with friends in her building. And Muriel loved ice cream! She was a member of La Recontre.
Muriel is survived by her daughters; Denise Gauthier, Anita (Larry) Beaudoin, Lisa Johnson and son Raymond Lacombe. Siblings; Claire (Donald) Dechene, Alta (Normand) Bouchard, Alma (Paul) Ouellete. Stepsons; Danne Rivard and Scott Rivard (Denise); 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren. Also many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Frank Rivard, sister Carmel Brassbridge, brother Conrad Charest and a grandson Kevin St. Pierre.
Visitation for Muriel will be held on Saturday, January 17 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Funeral Alternatives, 25 Tampa St. Lewiston.
In lieu of flowers memorial donation may be made to one of her favorite charities:
St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital or to the Shriner’s Children’s Hospital
