Richard Austin “Dick” Johnson
ROWLETT, Texas – Dick was born in Farmington, Maine, on Feb. 4, 1934, to P. Flint and Edith Johnson.
Dick was raised in Rangeley where he graduated high school in 1952. He joined the Army and served in Korea. He married Lena “Lee” Giuffrida on June 22, 1957, and attended the university of Maine, graduating in 1961 as a civil engineer. He worked for Ingersoll-Rand from 1961 to 1967 as a sales engineer, when he went into the drilling business until 1974. He went back with Ingersoll Rand and moved his family to Pakistan. Returning to the USA in 1975 he worked in West Virginia and Ohio before moving to Garland, Texas, in 1983. He retired from Ingersoll-Rand in 2000. He was active in his church and the Knights of Columbus and enjoyed his family. He leaves Lori, son-in-law Carl Scarna, grandson Brandon, daughter Lynn Johnson and granddaughter, Nicole Johnson.
