Wilfred L. “Willie” Cameron Jr.

SUN CITY CENTER, Fla. – Wilfred L. “Willie” Cameron, Jr. passed away peacefully at home on Sunday morning, Jan. 18, 2026, following a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

Willie was born on Aug. 18, 1938, in Danville, Maine, to Wilfred Sr. and Prudence Cameron. He was educated locally and graduated from Edward Little High School in 1957.

An accomplished businessman, Willie opened Cameron Realty & Associates under the Better Homes and Gardens affiliate and proudly served as president of the Androscoggin County Board of Realtors. He also worked at Worden Realty in Auburn for 10 years. Following his move to Florida with his wife Constance in 2000, Willie earned his real estate license in Florida in 2002 and worked at Adams Cameron Realty. He continued his successful real estate career until his retirement.

An avid golfer, Willie played his final round shortly after Christmas 2024 with his son Brian—a cherished memory. He was a devoted fan of all New England sports teams and he was a devoted father who attended his children’s games and activities. A faithful communicant of St. Philip’s Parish in Auburn, he served as a Eucharistic minister.

Willie was predeceased by his son, Scott Cameron in 1988; his brothers Camey, Larry, and Joe, and his sisters Patricia, Jenny, and Ruthie.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 66 years, Constance (Talbot) Cameron of Sun City Center, Fla.; his daughter, Cindy Cameron of Sun City Center, Fla., his son, Brian Cameron of Destin, Fla.; and his sister, Rachel Pitman of Brunswick. He also leaves behind two grandchildren, Nicole Whittier of Minot, and Sean Morin of Cumberland; as well as two great-grandchildren, Lydia and Logan.
