There have been a lot of words bandied about by this ignominious administration, since CBP and ICE murdered Renee Good and Alex Pretti, most of which have been used to deflect blame or cause anger. What I haven’t heard from a single one of those soul vacuums is anything even remotely resembling an apology.
I guess it would be a lot to ask from a group of people whose main sustenance seems to come from liberal tears, but it still may have been nice for the families of the victims. Imagine knowing that our government killed our family, lied about it and did nothing to make up for it other than shuffle some personnel around temporarily.
This is kind of like what I imagine it feels like to be a citizen of a “s**thole country,” in the polished words of our eloquent leader.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
