LEWISTON — Elmet Technologies Inc. announces that it has acquired JEVCO International Inc., a premier contract manufacturer of ultra-high precision-machined components with operations in Gig Harbor, Wash., and Chengdu, China.

Established in 1929, Elmet Technologies is a global supplier of high performance materials with a specialization in Molybdenum and Tungsten. Elmet maintains corporate headquarters and a fully integrated 220,000- square-foot manufacturing facility in Lewiston. Product lines include standard mill products and precision machined and fabricated products and assemblies.

The acquisition brings together two leading companies with complementary strategic visions and technology, and a shared commitment to delivering high quality products and services to their customers. Together, Elmet and JEVCO provide a broad portfolio of product and services serving high-tech industries, including aerospace, semiconductor, medical and other precision sensitive industries.
