DEAR SUN SPOTS: One of the top reasons people walk through the doors of The Trinity Jubilee Center at 123 Bates St. in Lewiston is for employment. They ask for help writing their resumes, finding job openings, and filling out the applications and background check forms.
Last year over 600 job seekers crowded into our office! Our new office has more work stations, space, and privacy. Each station has back-to-back computer monitors so clients can review their resume as it’s being typed. And there’s room for antsy kids to wiggle and play. Now we have the space to help even more people find work! — No name, Lewiston
ANSWER: Thank you to all the folks who made this incredible dream possible. I’m so proud of all of you! For more information, contact the center at [email protected] or 782-5700. Check out the web site at https://trinityjubileecenter.org/.
DEAR SUN SPOTS: I have been trying to find a store that sells Campbell’s slow cooker sauces for beef stew, pot roast and chicken. These come in an envelope that you put in the slow cooker with the meat.
I can find the product on eBay but I sure don’t need the amount you have to order! I have tried Shaw’s, Walmart, Hannaford, Market Basket and Food City. All these stores always carried the product before. Do you have another place in mind where I can look? — No name, Lewiston
ANSWER: I have seen these pouches of sauce at Target in Topsham and at Walmart in Brunswick. Have you tried other websites besides eBay? Amazon sells some of the flavors in packages of six pouches.
When I can’t find a product I’m used to seeing in my favorite store, I ask customer service. When they know a shopper is missing something, they can sometimes restock it. Or this may be an opportunity to try a different brand or a new recipe for a homemade sauce. You may surprise yourself by how delicious it will be!
