Avelyn Delano
RICHWOOD, Ohio – Avelyn Delano, 89, of Richwood, Ohio, passed away on Feb. 17, 2026, surrounded by family.
Avelyn worked at Yankee Book Peddler of Contoocook, N.H., in the accounting department until her retirement. Before and especially after her retirement, she and her husband Joseph loved to go camping throughout Maine and South Carolina in their RV. Avelyn also enjoyed going to flea markets and purse shopping with her daughters and granddaughters. She loved knitting and crocheting and made many beautiful sweaters, hats and mittens for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Avelyn was predeceased by her father and mother, Lawrence and Beulah Millett, as well as her husband Joseph Delano.
She is survived by her sister Janet Ferland and brother Larry Millett as well as her children, Linda Gill, Bonny Roy, Stephen Delano, Lauri Young, and Dorothy Pacha, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
