The city of Lewiston has issued an on-street parking ban from midnight, Tuesday, Nov. 22 until midnight, Wednesday, Nov. 23.

In Auburn, effective 7 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 23, there will be a parking ban on all roadways within the city of Auburn. The ban will remain in effect until 7 a.m. on Thursday, Nov, 24. 

Any vehicles parked in violation of either ban will be towed immediately.

The bans have been issued because of a forecasted winter storm. As of Tuesday morning, the National Weather Service is predicting that an accumulation of 9 to 13 inches of snow is possible on Wednesday. The snow is forecast to begin at 2 a.m. Wenesday morning and continue through the day.
