DEAR SUN SPOTS: Montello Heights is having its Spring Craft Fair, Bake Sale and Garage Sale on Saturday, April 11, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 550 College St. It is open to the public. — Chris, Lewiston

ANSWER: This sounds like a fun time and a great way to support the folks at Montello Heights as they hold their traditional spring event.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I read what I had sent you to print in Sun Spots on March 12 and realized I had not been clear. I have two inkjet cartridges HP #67 one black and one tricolor which only printed one page before the printer died.

I think someone would want relatively unused inkjet cartridges because they are so expensive. Someone could also have the HP Deskjet all-in-one 2855e printer to try to fix or use for spare parts. All are free. Please contact me at 241-0124. — Patricia, no town

ANSWER: Thank you for clarifying and let me know if you have no takers. I know of someone who collects these items and may be willing to take them off your hands.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: At Gather to Grow at 208 Bates St., volunteers are critical to the work we do each day, from moving food into the hands of our community to getting our gardens ready for the season.

If you think you’d like to volunteer with us, take a moment to read about our opportunities below and fill out our volunteer application online. Once we hear from you someone from our team will be in touch!

Volunteer Opportunities for Individuals: Community Gardens — Our community garden team relies on volunteers to prepare and put to rest our 12 garden beds and nearly 200 garden plots every spring and fall. If you enjoy digging in the dirt, working with plants and people this is a great role for you.

Food Pantry Support — Our food pantry team unloads and distributes an average of 12,000 pounds of food each week to nearly 500 households. Volunteers help unload, sort, and shelve food, and support food distribution and restocking during open hours. If you love working in a team setting and among our many diverse communities this is a great role for you.

Community Meals — Once a month Gather to Grow brings our neighbors together to share in a meal and get to know one another. Volunteers help with food prep, space set-up and breakdown.

Building Support and Projects — Gather to Grow’s facility is a nearly 130-year-old school building. There is always something to do around our building from cleaning, to organizing, to fixing up and building.
