Philena C. Chaisson

ANDOVER – Philena C. Chaisson, 95, passed away on March 29, 2026 at the Sandy River Center in Farmington.

Philena was born in Rumford on Dec. 29, 1930, the daughter of William and Myra (Glover) Crooker, Sr. She was a graduate of Andover High School. She worked as a staff assistant in the personnel department at Harvard University until her retirement.

Philena was married to the late David D. Chaisson, Sr. who passed on Sept. 2, 2011. Together they had five children.

Survivors include three sons, David and wife Denise of Nashua, N.H., John and wife Carmen of Palm Bay, Fla., and Mark of Andover; four grandchildren, Danny, Kyle Megan and Marc; three great-grandchildren, Mariana, Ryan and Tyler.

She was predeceased by her parents; husband; and daughters Mary Louise and Myra; and a grandson, Ryan.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday April 10, at the Andover Congregational Church.
