Wanda Marie (Cook) Maschino

FORT MYERS, Fla. – Wanda Marie (Cook) Maschino, 64, of Fort Myers, Fla., passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on March 25, 2026, following a very brief and courageous battle with cancer. She was born on Sept. 28, 1961, and lived a life defined by love, generosity, and a deep devotion to others.

Wanda is survived by her beloved husband, Dale; her daughter, Kim; her cherished grandchildren, Makayla, Logan, Ethan, Mason, and Willow; and her adored great-grandchildren, Gabby, Kouvr, and Scarlett.

She was preceded in death by her son, Josh; her parents, Norman and Carol; and her brothers Norman, Rob, and Trent.

For nearly 20 years, Wanda owned and operated a childcare facility, where she poured her heart into nurturing and guiding young lives. She truly loved working with children and found great joy in their honesty and humor, often sharing stories that would leave others smiling and laughing along with her.

Wanda made the move to Florida to embrace the beauty of warm weather and to enjoy life surrounded by sunshine. Yet it was not just the climate that made her presence so radiant; it was her spirit. She was known and cherished for her boundless generosity, her unwavering and unconditional love, and a sense of humor that could brighten even the darkest days.
Wanda had a rare and beautiful gift for making everyone around her feel seen, valued, and cared for. Her kindness was not just something she expressed; it was something she lived, every single day. Whether with family, friends, or even strangers, she gave of herself freely and without hesitation, leaving a lasting impression on all who were fortunate enough to know her and her legacy of love and compassion will continue to shine through the lives she helped shape.
