Roland D. Jacques

SOUTH PARIS – Roland D. Jacques, 84, of Lewiston, passed away peacefully on Feb. 15, 2026, with his beloved wife at his side at the Maine Veterans Home in South Paris.

Roland was born Aug. 13, 1941 at 74 Blake St. in Lewiston.

He was predeceased by his parents Philias Jacques and Marie Daniels; his sister, Anita Roy (Roland), his brother, Philippe Jacques (wife Marie Anne). He leaves behind his half-sister, Stella Guimond (husband Ernie)

He is survived by his devoted wife of 64 years, Anne Houde Jacques; his son, Roland D. Jacques Jr. and his daughter, Joline Jacques Leclerc; his grandchildren, Christopher Jacques, Courtney Jacques Whitney (Trevor), Alexis Leclerc, Kayleigh Leclerc, Connor Leclerc, McKenna Leclerc; and one great-grandson, Theo Whitney. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.

Roland was a man of faith and he guided, comforted, and inspired many, sharing God’s word with compassion. He touched countless lives through kindness, wisdom and love.

Above all, Roland was a devoted father and devoted husband. He loved his wife, Anne, with deep tenderness and unwavering commitment. His legacy will live on in the countless lives he touched and the family who loved him deeply.

A short military honors service (15 – 20 minutes) will be held on April 17, at 12 p.m. at the Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery Chapel located at 163 Mount Vernon Rd., Augusta.
