We citizens of the United States need to radically change how our government sees people and treats people. Sending Graham Platner to the U.S. Senate may be the best way I know to accomplish that.
When I retired, I began volunteering for various causes, including our town library, our local food pantry and a daytime shelter for people who need help with homelessness and hunger. I have met people who carry all of their possessions in a backpack or a couple of plastic grocery bags with them wherever they go, and who count on donated food to keep from starving and shelters to keep from freezing.
In a country as rich in resources as the U.S., this is shameful. Unlike the current administration in Washington, D.C., Platner does not appear to hate the poor and middle class. He has the energy and the will to get the country back on track. Let’s work together to get him nominated and elected.
