About Zachary
Outdoorsman and adventure creator Zachary Fowler is a Vermont native who moved to Maine to build classic wooden boats before fully embracing his passion for off-grid living and wilderness survival. He won Season 3 of the History Channel’s ALONE, surviving 87 days solo in Patagonia. Fowler now runs the popular YouTube channel Fowler’s Makery and Mischief, where he shares survival skills, outdoor adventures, and creative projects with nearly 1.8 million subscribers, alongside a growing outdoor brand and online store.

Megan Gray is an arts and culture reporter at the Portland Press Herald. A Midwest native, she moved to Maine in 2016. She has written about presidential politics and local government, jury trials and jails.
