President Trump’s Easter obscenity-laced rant and threat to “bomb the hell” out of Iran’s civilian power grid, since we are not at a declared war with Iran, most certainly gestures at a terrorist act and a crime against humanity. This tantrum, coming from any adult, would be unacceptable. For it to come from the mouth of the president of the United States is beyond comprehension.
We are being led to the very bottom of ethical or moral behavior by an ideologically twisted administration, unfettered by constraint from Congress or other high-ranking political leaders.
Sen. Susan Collins is the poster child of this total surrender and deference to “the party line.” While avoiding any public discussion of the collapse and politicization of virtually every governmental institution, and the smash and grab corruption of Trump’s family enterprises, Collins never wavers in voting to advance the policies and people advanced by the president.
Whatever her private “concerns “ might be, Collins has had multiple opportunities to make a difference in the spiraling negative direction of the country. She has failed us on every single vote and has not earned the right to continue to represent Maine.
