I’m a Vietnam-era veteran who served in the U.S. Navy in the Gulf of Tonkin and returned home to Maine in 1972 after my service.
Yesterday, I went to my town hall and changed my party affiliation from “unenrolled” to the Democratic Party. I wanted to make sure I could vote in the Democratic primary for Janet Mills.
Graham Platner is too dangerous to represent the people of Maine. In a 2020 Reddit post, he stated he joined the U.S. Marines to “kill someone,” although he has now deleted and decried those comments. He got a tattoo of a Totenkopf, formerly a symbol of the Nazi SS, although he has now covered over that symbol with additional tattooing. He has denied knowing the symbolism of the “Death’s Head.” He says he has changed from those earlier acts. I say … the leopard cannot change his spots.
Janet Mills does not suffer from selective amnesia. Don’t fall for a slick, out-of-state-run campaign. Please join me in voting for Janet Mills in the upcoming Democratic primary. We know she will do what she says.
