Fortier Council
LEWISTON — The Dr. Paul J. Fortier Council 52 of the Royal Arcanum-ACA Division will gather at 6 p.m. Monday, Dec. 5, in the Senior Citizens room of the Multi-Purpose Center. Following the meeting there will be refreshments and social time. Breakfast with Santa
MECHANIC FALLS — Ladies Auxiliary Unit 150 will hold a Breakfast with Santa from 8 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 10, and Sunday, Dec. 18, at the American Legion. The cost is $5 per person.
Chinese auction
POLAND — Poland Spring Academy will have its annual Chinese auction on Sunday, Dec. 11, at the Excelsior Grange, Harris Hill Road. Doors open at noon.
Golden Age Group
LEWISTON — The Golden Age Group of the IHM Parish will meet for a social hour with munchies at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 13, at the Franco-American Heritage Center for their annual Christmas Party.
Reservations are $12 and may be made by calling Paula at 576-4082 or coming by the Sacred Heart Church lower level meeting room on Dec. 6 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. to purchase tickets for the dinner.
Members who wish to take part in the gift exchange should bring a $5 gift for the exchange. The afternoon celebration will culminate with Roland Bergeron at the piano and Irene Coady on the accordion leading the group in singing favorite Christmas carols.
New members are welcome to join by making reservations ahead.
Rec Dept. trip
LISBON — The Lisbon Recreation Department has scheduled a six-day five-night group trip to Washington, D.C., on May 3-8.
The cost of the trip is $480, with a $75 per person deposit. This includes transportation, three nights in D.C., eight meals, tours of WWII, Vietnam Memorials, Smithsonian and more.
Participants do not have to be Lisbon residents to join the trip. Call the Lisbon Recreation Department for more information, 353-2289.
