Jacob Perreault scored a go-ahead power-play goal with 7:32 remaining, and the Maine Mariners moved closer to winning their first-round ECHL playoff series by rallying for a 5-4 victory over the Adirondack Thunder in Game 4 on Friday night in Glens Falls, New York.
The Mariners erased 2-0, 3-2 and 4-3 deficits as they grabbed a 3-1 series lead. They can clinch the series Saturday night in Glens Falls.
Shawn Element scored twice for the Mariners, including a power-play tally, and Perreault set up two goals. Jacob Hudson made it 2-2 in the first period, and Wyllum Deveaux tied the game early in the third period.
Brad Arvanitis, making his second straight start in goal after Luke Cavallin played the first two games, turned aside 28 shots.
