Coach: Rick White (third year)

Last year’s record: 16-3, lost in Western Class B quarterfinals

Returning players: Seniors — Zak Radcliffe (5-8 guard), Andrew Child (6-1 forward), Isaac Roberts (6-2 forward); Juniors — Jacob Theriault (6-1 guard), Ryan Nicols (5-9 guard).

Key losses: Cam Kaubris, Izaak Mills, Justin Carter.

Promising newcomers: Juniors — Sean Murphy (5-9 guard), Colin Merrill (5-9 guard), Milo Jodrey (6-1 forward), Aaron Benson (6-0 forward), Scott Nicols (5-9 guard); Freshmen — Bradley Marshall (5-11 forward), Tom Marshall (5-9 guard), Jacob Yates (6-3 center).

Outlook: The Falcons took a huge hit with the graduation of scoring and assist leader Kaubris, now at Bates College. Then its second-leading scorer Mills, a streaky outside shooter, chose not to rejoin the team this year. The end result is a young group that should remain competitive in the MVC. Radcliffe, Roberts and Theriault all saw time in the starting lineup last year. MV will continue to employ its up-tempo style at both ends of the floor in hopes of goading its opponents into turnovers and fatigue.

Coach’s comment: “As the season goes on, we feel the bench will develop and give us the depth that we need to play the up-tempo style that we  want to play.” — Coach Rick White
