Returning letter winners: Seniors — Abby Morton (5-6 guard), Ashley West (5-6 guard); Juniors — Abbie Eastman (5-5 guard), Alex Rowe (5-9 forward), Kelsey DeBlois (5-9 forward); Sophomores — Brooke Murch (5-10 forward), Crystal West (5-7 guard/forward).

Key losses: Dayna Schultz (guard), Crissy Lewis (forward)

Promising newcomers:  Senior — Mikeckney Ward (5-7 forward); Sophomore — Erica Jackson (5-5 guard); Freshmen — Mikayla Morin (5-9 guard), Anna Winslow (5-10 guard), Kerseyanne Goyette (5-5 guard).

Outlook: The Vikings lost Lewis, who was a KVAC all-star but returned  to Edward Little. Eastman was also an all-conference pick while Murch and Ashley West were both regular starters. The Vikings have an experienced group of players that should help them build off last year and make a run at a playoff spot.

Coach’s commer: ” We’re looking to get back into the tourney this year. We have a good core of returning players and our new players will make us more athletic. With Eastman at point guard, we will be able to pick up the pace or slow it down. If our younger players develop quickly enough then we could be peaking come the end of the year.”
