RUMFORD — Patrol officers responded to 74 complaints between midnight Dec. 5 and noon Dec. 11.

Arrests/summonses

Dec. 5 at 10:38 a.m. — Eddie Sanders, 44, of Rumford was arrested by Sgt. Douglas Maifeld on several warrants charging failure to pay fines for operating after suspension and bail violations on Waldo Street. Sanders was unable to post bail and taken to the Oxford County Jail.

Dec. 7 at 11:42 a.m. — Johnathan Taylor, 26, of Jay was charged by Patrolman Brad Gallant on Prospect Avenue with operating after suspension and violation conditions of release. Taylor is scheduled to appear in court on March. 6.

Dec. 7 at 8 p.m. — Corey Theriault, 21, of Rumford was charged by Patrolman Michael Belanger on River Street with violation conditions of release. Theriault is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 7.

Dec. 8 at 12:05 a.m. — A 17-year-old boy from Livermore was charged by Patrolman Michael Belanger on Rumford Avenue with possession of alcohol by a juvenile. He is scheduled to appear in court on March 6.

Dec. 08 at 12:30 a.m. — Jonathan True, 22, of Rumford was charged by Patrolman Michael Belanger on Rumford Avenue with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. True is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 7.

Dec. 8 at 12:40 a.m. — Mark MacKerron, 55, of Westbrook was charged by Cpl. Lawrence Winson on Rumford Avenue with violation conditions of release. MacKerron is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 7.

Dec. 9 at 8:43 a.m. — Christopher Sheldon, 27, of Rumford was arrested by Sgt. James Bernard on River Street on a charge of violation conditions of release. Sheldon was unable to post bail and taken to the Oxford County Jail. He is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 7.

Dec. 11 at 12:30 a.m. — Joel Richard, 24, of Rumford was charged by Patrolman Joseph Sage on Spruce Street with operating a motor vehicle without a license (beyond license restriction). Richard is scheduled to appear in court on March 6.

Assault

Dec. 10 at 9:26 a.m. — Cpl. Donald Miller investigated an assault on Canal Street. Victim failed to press charges.

Burglary

Dec. 10 at 7:05 a.m. — Sgt. Douglas Maifeld is investigating burglary of an unlocked motor vehicle on Rumford Avenue. Suspect rummaged through the vehicle, but nothing taken.

Dec. 10 at 7:30 a.m. — Sgt. Douglas Maifeld is investigating a burglary of an unlocked motor vehicle on Rumford Avenue. Suspect rummaged through a vehicle, but nothing taken.

Dec. 10 at 7:30 a.m. — Sgt. Douglas Maifeld is investigating a burglary of a motor vehicle on Rumford Avenue. Suspect smashed out a window, rummaged through the vehicle, but nothing taken.

Theft

Dec. 8 at 5:04 p.m. — Patrolman  Brad Gallant investigated theft of services from a local business. Suspect paid the services and no charges were filed.

Dec. 09 at 12:58 p.m. — Patrolman Dave Hodgson is investigating three Apple laptop computers stolen from a Rumford school. Estimated loss is  $2,400.

Dec. 10 at 6:46 a.m. — Patrolman Dave Hodgson is investigating a theft from an unlocked motor vehicle on Spruce Street. Victim is compiling a list of stolen items.

Dec. 10 at 10 a.m. — Patrolman Dave Hodgson is investigating a theft from an unlocked motor vehicle on Plymouth Avenue. A partial box of ammunition valued at $16 was stolen.

Dec. 10 at 10 a.m. — Sgt. Douglas Maifeld is investigating a theft from an unlocked motor vehicle on Spruce Street. Loose change amounting to $2 was stolen.

Wanted

Hilary Taylor, 20, Bryant Pond, is wanted on a Paris District Court warrant charging failure to pay fines for an assault. The warrants are dated July 20, 2011.
