FORT MYERS, Fla. — Raymond P. Cloutier, 74, of Fort Myers, Fla., passed away peacefully at home on Dec. 13.

Raymond was born July 20, 1937, and raised in Lewiston, the oldest of nine siblings in a very close family. He attended high school at St. Dominic’s, Class of 1955. He subsequently attended the University of Maine at Orono, where he earned his B.S. degree in mechanical engineering, and met his wife, Beverly. During their life together Raymond and Beverly traveled the world and enjoyed life.

He had a long and fulfilling career as plant manager with Allied Chemical, which later became Arcadian Corp.

He is survived by his wife, Beverly (Goodwin), who he was married to for 51 wonderful years; sons, Michael, his wife, Nancy, of Fort Myers, David and his wife, Laura, of Savage, Minn., and Mark and his wife, Lisa, of Macon, Ga.; daughter, Stephanie and her husband, Eric Martuza, of Tampa, Fla.; eight grandchildren; seven brothers and sisters, Sister Francesca Cloutier, Claire Poirier, Jean and Marie Waterman, all of Auburn, Philippe of Portland, Adrien of Tyngsboro, Mass., and Lise Schulze of Melbourne, Fla.

He was predeceased by his parents, Francoise and Laurent Cloutier of Lewiston; his brother, Arthur Roger Cloutier of Lewiston; and his grandson, Brandon Cloutier of Fort Myers, Fla.

He will be sorely missed for his guidance, his devotion to friends, and great love and generosity toward family. He will be fondly remembered for his enjoyment of poker, a fine meal, and a good glass of wine.
