HEBRON — Hebron Academy recently announced that Liza Tarr of Beverly, Mass., has been hired as communications coordinator for the school.
Tarr will be responsible for overseeing the Academy’s outbound marketing vehicles, as well as managing internal and external communications for the school.
“Liza’s personal and professional background aligns perfectly with the goals we’ve set for this position,” said John King, Hebron Academy head of school. “I am confident she will bring new professionalism and emphasis to the school’s communications efforts and also join easily with our community to promote Hebron in its best light.”
Before joining Hebron Academy, Tarr worked as an account coordinator at a full-service public relations agency in Boston, where her efforts were focused on brand and sponsorship activation, event marketing, executing tactical media relations campaigns, and positioning clients as thought leaders in their field.
“I’m thrilled to embark on this new chapter in my career,” Tarr said. “I could not ask for a better professional fit, given my prior work experience and personal appreciation of the secondary school arena. Hebron has so much to offer, and I aim to communicate that effectively in my new role.”
Tarr earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish from Tufts University and attended secondary school at The Governor’s Academy in Byfield, Mass. She lives in Portland and is a devoted Sugarloafer.
