AUBURN — Robert Henry Bartlett, 80, of Oxford, died with family by his side Dec. 23 at The Hospice House.

He was born to Iola and James Bartlett of Montville and graduated from Walker High School in 1949. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, and spent most of his career in municipal government; serving as town manager of Winterport, Madison and Norway. Bob went on to work in construction and real estate before retiring in 1994. He was an avid gardener and a skilled fine woodworker.

Bob is survived by sons, David Bartlett of Stetson and Robert Bartlett II and wife, Stephanie, of Valrico, Fla; and daughters, Margaret Cook and husband, Peter, of Whiting, Bonnie Trundy and husband, Michael, of Hebron, and Becky Merola of Powell, Ohio; 10 grandchildren, Bryan, Anya, Bobby, Travis, Ian, Allie, Emily, Will, Annie, and Jack; his loyal golden retriever, Jenny; and many friends.
