RUMFORD — Certified diabetes educator Barbara MacGregor is hosting a new free diabetes support group at Rumford Hospital.
The first meeting will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 18, in Conference Room A on the hospital’s ground floor.
Spokeswoman Jane Bubar said discussion at the debut meeting will include group goals, meeting schedules, speakers, and sharing guidelines and responsibilities.
Plans are to have the group meet monthly on a regular day and time that is most convenient to participants, Bubar said.
When schools are canceled due to inclement weather, the meetings will also be canceled, she said.
