LEWISTON — A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Wednesday for Maurice P. Laurendeau at the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul, following prayers at the Fortin Group Funeral Home. Monsignor Marc B. Caron officiated, assisted by Deacon Irenee Richard. The reading was presented by Marlene Laurendeau and the prayer of the faithful by Mark Pandolfe and Kevin Laurendeau. The offertory gifts were presented at the altar by Lorraine Pandolfe and Philippe Laurendeau. Words of remembrance were shared by Normand Laurendeau. Monsignor Caron recited committal prayers at the entombment in the chapel of the Rosary at St. Peter’s Cemetery, assisted by Carol Laurendeau and Tom Pandolfe. Bearers were Jules, Kevin and Kristen Laurendeau, Mark Pandolfe and Kellie Cardona, all grandchildren and Michael Torti, Patricia Axelsen and Peter Dusseault. Military honors were provided by the Maine Funeral Honors Program.
