LEWISTON — Brie Wilson sank two clutch free throws with three seconds to play to break a deadlock and lift Lewiston to its first girls’ basketball victory since 2008 with a 45-43 triumph over Lawrence on Monday.

The Blue Devils (1-10) had not won a game since beating Leavitt, 52-50, on Jan. 4, 2008 — a stretch of 74 consecutive losses.

Lewiston played for the final shot and Wilson was fouled attempting a shot with three sedonds left. She calmly converted both attempts for the victory.
