BETHEL — The Rotary Club of Bethel is asking community members to look in their attics and garages to see if they have an unwanted wheelchair to donate before Feb. 14.

The Karachi Pakistan Rotary Club has contacted David Talbot, founder of the Crutches 4 Africa program, to request 400 wheelchairs to mobilize children affected or recovering from polio. The Pakistan Rotarian’s have arranged to ship a 40-foot transport container this spring.

The Rotary Club of Bethel donated 10 wheelchairs last November to the program. Talbot is hoping to provide 40 more from District 7780.
