NORWAY — Rain or snow, snowshoes will be the focus at Roberts Farm on Saturday, March 3, from noon to 3 p.m.

Lee Dassler, program coordinator for Western Foothills Land Trust, said starting at 1 p.m. there will be 1, 3 and 5 K snowshoe races. The 5 K race is part of the Maine Snowshoe Series, she said.

There will be children’s and adult snowshoes available through the assistance of Western Maine Health, the Rowe School and Dion Snowshoes.

Participants will be able to dry off and warm up in the new warming hut. The preserve is at 64 Roberts Road.

This event is part of the Great Maine Outdoor Weekend, March 2 through 4.
