NORWAY — Lee Dassler of the Western Foothills Land Trust announced Thursday evening that Sunday’s air rifle biathlon at Roberts Farm Preserve has been canceled due to warm weather.

It was planned with the Southern Maine Biathlon Club, but snow conditions on the trails have deteriorated too far to support a safe race, she said in a statement.

“The mud condition in the parking area on the contrary is very robust, which may trigger a temporarily closed gate in the near future,” she said.
