The other day I found myself pondering some of the great questions of life. More specifically, what happens to us when our time on Earth is through?

Are the Christians correct in their belief in life after death, and once we pass on from this earthly existence, do we rise to a “heavenly” location where we have life everlasting?

Or, is the Hindus’ faith in reincarnation the correct answer? The belief that when people die, their bodies decompose but some part of themselves, maybe what we know as a soul, is reborn into another being?

Finally, I thought, are the existentialists correct? Simply, when we die — and our lives here on Earth are over — do we just cease to exist?

After pondering those philosophies for a while, I really didn’t come up with any mind-blowing answers. However, I did realize that if the Hindus are correct and reincarnation is the reality of existence after death, then I want to come back as a pothole on Park Avenue in Auburn, because undoubtedly those live forever.
