LEWISTON — Normand T. Bisson, 79, of Sabattus Street, Lewiston, passed away at his home on Friday, March 9.
Normand was born in Dexter, Oct. 8, 1932, the son of Lucia Bolduc. Educated locally, he served in the Air Force from 1952 to 1956. After he got out of the Air Force, he opened his own business, Norm’s Venetian blinds on Chestnut Street. Norm worked for the Maine Turnpike Authority for 23 years until his retirement, during which he and his wife, Lucy ran NLB Stamps & Engraving in Lewiston.
He enjoyed motorcycle riding, traveling, and was an avid reader. He also enjoyed playing online poker with a drink and a good cigar, working around the house, and always had some project going.
Normand leaves his wife of 23 years, Lucy; his stepson, Dennis Mason and his wife, Marianne; his stepdaughter, Doreen Mason; his very special granddaughter, Alexandria Mason, whom he adored; a sister, Madeleine Dionne; sister-in-law, Jeannine Gagne; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his brothers, Lionel and Richard Gagne.
