LEWISTON — Rachel Mills of Lewiston, a senior at Lewiston High School, has been selected to receive the 2012 Principal’s Award, Principal Gus Leblanc has announced.
The award, sponsored by the Maine Principal’s Association, is given in recognition of a high school senior’s academic achievement and citizenship.
“Rachel has distinguished herself as an outstanding student ranking as one of the highest performing students in her graduating class. She has also been a three season athlete, a member of the school’s mock trial team and editor of the LHS yearbook.
“Mills is vice president of the class of 2012 and very much deserves this recognition,” LeBlanc said in making the award.
Mills and LeBlanc will attend an honors luncheon at the Spectacular Event Center in Bangor on Saturday, April 7 . Mills is the daughter of Richard and Louise Mills of Lewiston.
