AUBURN — Edith Drake Stevens, 96, of Mechanic Falls, died Friday evening at Hospice House.

She was born in Caribou on Dec. 2, 1915, the daughter of Allen E. and Lillian Ayotte Drake. On Nov. 3, 1934, she married Wesley E. Stevens of Auburn, and together they had four children. Edith had worked in area shoe shops and was a homemaker.

Survivors include three sons, Allen E. and his wife, Catherine, Wesley E. Jr. and his wife, Judy and Wayne A. and his wife, Sharon; 11 grandchildren, Wade, Rebecca, Robert and Valerie Stevens, Lisa, Amy, James and Leon Kimball Jr. and Leigh, Jenna and Brian Stevens; 18 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and lots of nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents; eight sisters; seven brothers; a great-grandson; and her only daughter, Coralie Kimball.
