Scott Howard of Pownal prunes rebelski tomatoes at Olivia’s Garden in New Gloucester on Tuesday. “We are definitely seeing a difference with this sun,” said Howard, the owner of the greenhouse-based business. Tomato plants have grown six inches in the last four days and bees from the outside have discovered the flowering nasturtiums. “That’s due to the sun,” Howard said. Howard’s business is named after his 11-year-old daughter, Olivia.
Nasturtiums have been attracting lots of bees at Olivia’s Garden in New Gloucester. Bees from outside the greenhouse as well as in-house bees have been attracted to the edible flowers, said greenhouse owner Scott Howard.
