When writing a letter to the editor, I believe that it is important to do some research to make sure the facts are correct.

Doris McNally (letter, March 26) wants people to support Democrats and independents because she appears to feel that only Republican candidates have super PACs.

She goes on to warn of class warfare, greedy corporations and other one-percenters’ hype.

Then she insinuates that Republicans in Congress have stalled Washington, despite the fact that President Barack Obama has not produced a budget since he has been in office and, yes, that includes the first two years when he had complete Democratic control of both the House and the Senate, and even they could not pass the inflated spending.

To get back on point, both parties have super PACs. I think that McNally should check out Obama’s super PAC. Yes, he has one, too, and he even takes it up a notch and treats contributors to White House visits on the public’s dime.
