FARMINGTON — Holy Week services began Sunday with Palm Sunday and continue Thursday with a remembrance of the Last Supper Jesus shared with his disciples.
* A Maundy Thursday Communion and Tenebrae service takes place at 7 p.m. April 5 at Henderson Memorial Baptist Church on Academy Street.
* A Community Good Friday service takes place from noon to 1 p.m. Friday, April 6, also at Henderson. The community is welcome to keep vigil for one hour at the foot of the cross. Area clergy participating in the service include Susan Crane from Henderson; Tim Walmer, St. Luke’s; Doug Dunlap, hospital chaplain; Dick Bennett, Old South; Bob Goodin, Fairbanks Union; Lynda Giard, Shorey Chapel; Walter Brown and Judith Tracy, Trinity UMC; and Ryan Goding, Summit Faith Community.
* On Easter Sunday, April 8, the annual Easter Sunrise service sponsored by Farmington Area Ecumenical Ministry begins at 6:07 a.m. on Voter Hill. A light continental breakfast will be offered.
* An Easter breakfast takes place at Henderson Memorial at 8:30 a.m. April 8. All are welcome, donations appreciated. The breakfast precedes the 10 a.m. Easter worship service.
