LEWISTON — Four of Lewiston Middle School’s five teams reached the championship round in the Southern Maine Middle School Hockey League.

The Blue Demons Hockey nearly went 5-for-5. The only team not to advance to the finals were the Blue Demons Ingalls “B” Tier 4 team, which lost Monday night to No. 1 seed Scarborough in a hard fought battle 3-2. It took five overtimes and a double shootout (10 rounds) to finally decide the issue,. Congratulations to LMS Ingalls coach Tim Smith, the players and the assistant coaches on a great battle.

Other championship games were scheduled as follows:

Petterson Division (Girls Only) — Greely (3) vs Lewiston (1), Tuesday.

Soule Division — Biddeford (2) vs Lewiston (1), Wednesday.

Roy Division — Lewiston (2) vs Cape Elizabeth (1), Wednesday.

Braun Division — Lewiston (4) vs Kennebunk (2), Thursday, 6 p.m., USM Ice Arena.
