BRUNSWICK — Robert M. Crossman, 80, of Topsham, died April 5, at Midcoast Hospital, after a brief illness.

He was born in Lewiston, March 5, 1932, the son of William J. Crossman and Marion V. Crossman. He attended Auburn schools and graduated from Edward Little High School, Class of 1951.

Robert was a Korean War veteran. He retired from BIW after working there 29 years.

Robert is survived by his wife of 54 years, Carlene; one son, Richard of Topsham; four grandchildren, Kristen, Morgaine, Tara and Richard; one stepgrandson, Hunter Labbe; several nieces and nephews; and two sisters, Janice Cox of Florida, and Jean Dechene of Florida.

He was predeceased by his parents; and brother, Roy Crossman.
