DIXFIELD — Albert H. Soucy, 71, of Dixfield, passed peacefully on Saturday, April 7. 

He was the youngest, born to Rudolph F. and A. Bessie Soucy on May 14, 1940. After graduating from Stephens High School, Class of 1960, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force, serving four years. Upon his return to Rumford, he married Marjorie (McKinnon) on May 2, 1970 ,and they spent 42 years together, raising two daughters.

Al was a big-hearted man who always had a smile on his face. Most Saturdays you could find him at yard sales. Al and Margie also enjoyed their trips to Foxwoods, but his greatest joy was spending time with his granddaughters and spoiling them!

Al leaves behind his wife; daughter, Kathy Richard, her husband, Jerry and their daughters, Natalie and Emily of Rumford; and daughter, Darcy Soucy of Auburn.

Al was predeceased by his parents; sister, Eva May Frechette; and her husband, George; and brother, Joseph Soucy.
