I very much agree with Greg Boardman (letter, April 9) about an equitable health system. To me, it makes so much sense to have a government system that is supported by our taxes, much like Medicare and Medicaid (for all people).

I remember that the Kennedys, the Clintons and now President Barack Obama tried to accomplish the same thing.

I have heard many people say they don’t like for the government to force people to buy health insurance. I feel that if we don’t have a good plan in place, we will all be forced into much tougher situations eventually.

I pray and hope that the people who are in a position to create such a plan will become willing to work together and do the responsible thing for the common good.
