LEWISTON — Gary A. Feely, 59, of Lewiston, passed away at his home due to complications of heart disease on Wednesday, April 11.
Born in Lisbon on June 12, 1952, he was the son of Alfred and Dorothy Emerson Feely. Educated in the Lisbon school system, he graduated from high school in 1971. On September 12, 1987, he married the former Lise A. Ouellette, and together they raised their two children, Ryan G. Feely and Erin A. Feely.
He worked several jobs over the years, including as a ship fitter at Bath Iron Works, an auto body repair specialist, carpenter, land surveyor, press operator and as a mason. Gary was a talented mechanic/handyman who could fix just about anything, and was always willing to help anyone who needed him. He was a family man who loved growing roses and accumulating collectibles as well as participating in outdoor activities such as fishing, going to the beach and target shooting.
Besides his loving wife of Lewiston, he is survived by his mother, Dorothy Feely of Lisbon; a son, Ryan Feely of Norway; a daughter, Erin Feely of Lewiston; 11 brothers and sisters, Nancy and husband Jerry Jones of Alabama, Thomas and wife Lori Feely of Sabattus, Brenda Feely of Sabattus, Peter and wife Cindie Feely of Moscow, Jackie and husband Larry Mole of Florida, Grace and husband John Farnum of Lisbon, Mike and wife Barbara Feely of Poland, Betty and husband Jim Marshall of Bowdoin, Glenn and wife Debbie Feely of Lisbon, Jeffrey Feely of Durham, Danny and wife Kris Feely of Lewiston; and several nieces and nephews.
