BERLIN, N.H. — Claire Beatrice Dignard, 51, passed away on April 9, after a brief illness.
She was born June 14, 1960, in Berlin, N.H., the daughter of Wilfred Aldee Dignard and Pauline (Gagne) Dignard. She was a graduate of BHS 1978, Becker Junior College and UNH. Claire was an activities aide and a certified resident coordinator at the Coos County Nursing Home. Claire had also worked as a professional gallery framer and artist.
Claire was an avid supporter of the Portuguese Water Dog Breed. She was a breeder, exhibitor, trainer and advocate for them. She had served as a national futurity judge for the breed and was an active member and had held board positions on both the regional and national levels of the PWD Clubs.
Claire leaves behind her mother, Pauline and sister, Therese P. Dignard, both of Berlin, N.H.; and a brother, Roger Dignard of New Boston, N.H.
