LEWISTON — Ida Lemieux Real, 55, of 345 Stetson Road, Lewiston, died Wednesday, April 18, at Central Maine Medical Center following a short illness.
She was born in Lewiston, May 9, 1956, the daughter of Laurent and Rejane Levesque Lemieux. Educated locally, she was a graduate of Lewiston High School, Class of 1973.
She was employed with Hannaford for more than 20 years, most recently as a pharmacy technician. Ida was a very loving, giving person, and was always doing for others, whether it be baking, cleaning, or painting.
She had a great faith in God, and was a faithful member of East Auburn Baptist Church, where she loved to sing at the top of her lungs. Her greatest joy in life came from her love for the outdoors, the ocean, her grandchildren, and her music.
Survivors include her mother, Rejane Lemieux of Lewiston; a son, Edward and wife, Vanessa, of Lewiston; three daughters, Christine and husband, Jonathan Robinson, of Readfield, Amy and husband, Robert Madore, of Lewiston and Desiree Wuthenow of Lewiston; three brothers, Paul and wife, Kathie Lemieux, of Wales, Louis Lemieux of Hawaii, and Clement and wife, Patricia Lemieux, of Florida; three sisters, Rita and husband, Philip Lewis, of Sabattus, Irene and husband, David Marshall, of Monmouth and Marie Lemieux and partner, Jeanne Cyr, of Lewiston; eight grandchildren, Luke, Isaac, Mariah, and Alexis Madore, Joseph Lemieux III, Hunter and Chase Lemieux, and Emma Madore; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her father, she was predeceased by a son, Joseph Lemieux II; and her best friend, who was like a sister to her, Robin Wuthenow.
