BURLINGTON, Mass. — Daniel P. Cote, 58, of Auburn, passed away on Sunday, April 22, at the Lahey Clinic, with his loving family by his side.

Daniel was born in Lewiston, Dec. 9, 1953, the son of Paul A. and Jeanne T. Cote. Growing up in Lewiston, he graduated from St. Dominic Regional High School in 1971. On Oct. 22, 1976, he married Denise Laliberte at Holy Family Church in Lewiston. Daniel worked for the City of Lewiston Public Works Department for 29 years, before retiring in 2006.

Spending time with family was the most important thing for Daniel. He took great pride in raising and supporting his children, Scott and Angela. Daniel enjoyed watching the Boston Bruins, collecting coins/stamps and spending time with his faithful “Co-Pilot” Peanut (the family dog). Daniel was a third degree member of the Knights of Columbus, Council 106.

Daniel is survived by his wife, Denise; his two children, Scott and Angela; his mother, Jeanne; his aunt and uncle, Pauline and Donald Gagnon; his in-laws, Arthur and Muriel Ouellette; and his sisters-in-law, Suzanne and Joline Laliberte.

He was predeceased by his father, Paul A. Cote; his father-in-law, Maurice Laliberte; his paternal grandparents, Arthur and Alma Cote; and his maternal grandparents, Kenneth and Jeannette Hodsdon.
