GORHAM — Senior David Ricker had three hits and scored a pair of runs as the University of Southern Maine defeated Bates 6-1 in men’s baseball action Wednesday.
Ricker reached base all four times he batted for the Huskies (20-16). He sparked a four-run first inning with a lead off single. Ricker also stole three bases.
The Bobcats (21-16) were led by junior Ryan Sonberg, who was perfect at the plate, going 4-for-4 on the day.
USM freshman right-hander Alex Tobey went the first five innings on the hill to pick up his second win of the season.
