AUBURN — Blanche A. Lafrance of Lewiston died Tuesday, May 1, with her family at her side at The Hospice House of Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice.
She was born in Lewiston, Sept. 23, 1926, daughter of the late Joseph and Emma (Ouellette) Miliard. She was educated in Lewiston. She married the love of her life Roger Lafrance on June 7, 1947, he predeceased her in 2006. She worked for many years as office secretary at Delar Home Improvement.
Blanche was a longtime member of Holy Family Church. She enjoyed spending winters in Florida with her husband Roger, playing cards with family and friends, doing jigsaw puzzles crossword puzzles and most of all spending time with her family.
She leaves two daughters, Lorraine Brooks and husband, Thomas, of Lewiston and Louise Coleman and husband, Timothy, of Lewiston; a son, Daniel Lafrance and wife, Dolores, of Amarillo, Texas; six grandchildren, Amy Roy and husband, Gene, Sean Clements, Kevin Brooks, Alison and Ryan Coleman, Brian Lafrance; a great-grandson, Joshua Roy; three sisters-in-law, Rita Castonguay of Lewiston, Gilberte Bourgoin of Arizona, and Lucille Lafrance of Lewiston; two brothers-in-law, Bert Lafrance of Lewiston and Leonard Lafrance of Florida; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by two sisters, Irene Belanger and Yvonne Miliard; and five brothers, John, Adelard, Adrien, Wilfred and Eugene.
